B3DA Day 27

I”m really bad at those “rewrite an ending” kind of things. Guess my creativity doesn’t quite work that way.

Here are some things I discovered today:

-I get to see mummies and gold things from ancient Egypt tomorrow and I’m excited!

-Gas is expensive. That sucks.

-I was supposed to pay a bill from my old place. Yesterday. Crap.

-Little girls with glasses who love raccoons and owls are just the cutest.

-Living with other people is a really good thing for me.

-I may or may not be receiving mail correctly. I did get some things after I first moved, but recently had a package be returned to the shipper because supposedly my address is invalid. Not sure, since I know its right. Hmmm….

-Spring should come back already— I’m ready!

Got my first jewelry from a boy today. A homemade shrinky dink necklace from one of my storytime kiddos. Enjoy!

B3DA Day 25

Karaoke. Haven’t done it since the 9th grade party, and I highly doubt that counts.

When I’m in the car by myself and really letting loose, chances are good I’m singing:

B3DA Day 24

This is about all I can say about today, other than I have never laughed so hard playing spoons than I did with my family today.

B3DA Day 23

I’m feeling more contemplative today than usual. Who knew I could be any more contemplative, right?

Today is a day of waiting.

As a Christian, I am waiting for tomorrow when we will celebrate Christ’s resurrection, and the promise that holds for all who believe.

As a cousin, sister, niece, daughter,  and friend I am waiting to spend time among some of my family members. Tomorrow we’ll gather together to share a meal, laughs, and time when we all just relax and be ourselves.

As a woman, I’m always waiting. I’m always wondering and worrying and trying to predict what tomorrow will bring. As one who has goals and dreams that seem so out of reach, I’m always fighting the wait. I’m always wishing and hoping that today might be the day. Today the wait might be over. Not for my life to begin or something like that– my life is going on every day!– but the wait towards the fruition of a dream or goal might be nearing its end.

As a writer (at least for April!) I’m waiting for inspiration to strike.

And as a Christian, I am also awaiting the end, when the worry and weight, failures and shortcomings, doubt and fear and questioning will cease and I will just be. Just be the me I was created to be.

2 types of chocolate in the cookies I baked: m&m’s and chocolate chips

2 days until another week of summer planning and preparation

1. Long, “let’s catch up on life” emails.
2. Giving presents.
3. Celebrating successes.
4. Friends who know you and still love you!
